After graduating from the University of South Australia in 2008 I began working in a busy Adelaide CBD private practice before establishing Tanunda Physiotherapy in 2015.

I specialise in understanding movement of the human body and how it relates to injury. As one of the first certified practitioners in South Australia for the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (Level 2 Advanced), as well as having certification in the Functional Movement Screen, I have developed greater assessment skills which are used to develop individualised, targeted treatment plans. This may involve manual therapy as well as relevant exercises to maximise both short and long term results for all injuries.

Training in Kinetic Link Training (KLT) functional strength and conditioning allows me to take that a step further to develop high level functional training programs, suitable as part of rehabilitation for clients of all ages and also for injury prevention and performance training.

Strong professional development focus has enabled me to increase the "tools in my tool box" to help maximise your benefits in injuries throughout the whole body. Specific examples include
Neurokinetic Therapy, which involves correcting compensatory relationships between muscles, Active Release Technique (ART), considered worldwide as the gold standard in soft tissue management, as well as Advanced Neuromuscular Dry Needling.

Further education in management of specific areas means I can provide additionally strong benefits to those who suffer from issues in these areas. This includes completion of the highly regarded Lyn Watson Level 1 Shoulder course and ACL Tears Non Surgical Management as well as
working with and training under a world renowned specialist in neurodynamics (e.g. 'pinched nerves'), Michael Shacklock.

People I help range from seated office workers to heavy labour tradespeople, children to elderly, and high level sports people to weekend warriors or those with sedentary lifestyles. I commonly help people with neck and back pain, headaches, shoulder, hip or knee pain, whiplash, and sports injuries among many other conditions. Not only do I enjoy the varied challenges presented by the range of presentations I see, but also meeting people from all types of backgrounds.

I have experience in conducting occupational services (functional capacity assessments, ergonomic/worksite assessments, staff training). Completion of specialised training in Occupational Health Physiotherapy combined with my experience and the previously mentioned functional movement training allows me to provide you the highest level of service in this field in respect to both injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Away from work I love to spend time with my growing family and am a sports nut, particularly when it comes to following my team the Crows in AFL!

I look forward to meeting you and having the chance to help you with whatever is causing you problems!
