Hydrotherapy

Tanunda Physio &Health's unique location provides easy access to the rehabilitation pool for hydrotherapy treatment of your injury.

  • Your Physiotherapist at Tanunda Physio& Health will design an individual program to suit your needs.
  • Your program may be performed in Group Hydrotherapy sessions or one-on-one consultations to ensure it is carried out safely and effectively.
  • If appropriate you may also complete the program in your own time.

Group sizes are limited to ensure you receive the attention and care you deserve.

What is hydrotherapy used for?

Why hydrotherapy?

  • reduced mobility, balance
  • post operative rehabilitation (shoulder, total knee/hip replacement, knee reconstruction)
  • arthritis management
  • pain management
  • general exercise/fitness
  • recovery from bone fractures
  • elderly- great way to keep the body moving and healthy
  • the heated water is relaxing for muscles and joints, making moving them easier and more comfortable
  • the buoyancy of water means you can reduce the loading on joints
  • the water can provide resistance or assistance to a movement depending on your needs
  • you may be able to move and exercise to a level in the pool that you can't on land

How do I book?

  • A standard initial consultation is required before commencing a hydrotherapy program.
  • This ensures you are suitable for hydrotherapy and allows an individual program to be developed according to your needs.
  • If you are already attending treatments, hydrotherapy can be discussed within your regular consultations.
